What does Virtual Mobile Manager Include?
The service includes a comprehensive and tailored support package, offering management of all UK mobile networks and providers. As an independent specialist we can support your business whether you are already in a long term mobile airtime contract, or looking to negotiate your next contract.
All delivered by a named team, under one simple and transparent managed service agreement.
Let Utelize’s VMM team help you to release your own IT team from day to day mobile network and device ordering and administration; so they can focus on more strategic projects and IT transformation.
With named support that’s specifically tailored to meet the needs of mid-market and large enterprise customers, we act as a direct extension of your own team, aligned to your own processes and preferences to help manage day-to-day mobile administration and orders.
Maintaining an accurate inventory of mobile devices, connections and users is an essential part of keeping mobile costs and security in check. With VMM, all mobile network and device orders are accurately updated in our Inview Mobile portal, and we’ll track your leavers and joiners data to ensure that your inventory is up to date and under control.
Our specialist team are familiar with all of the major mobile networks and providers, allowing us to effectively and efficiently process and track all of your mobile network and device orders through to completion.
With VMM we can provide our customers with optional device preparation to ensure that mobile phones and devices are shipped to users ready to use. We also provide an “in life” support service that includes allocated buffer stock to ensure availability of devices for new orders and replacements whenever they are required.
Proactive mobile cost and usage management is at the heart of our VMM managed service; and to ensure our customers have total visibility of their mobile estate we provide access to our innovative “Inview Mobile” management portal.
The Inview Mobile portal provides an easy to use platform for managing mobile costs, identifying any unused services, trend reporting, inventory management and exceptional usage management. The portal also supports mobile usage policy management, which we use to help our customers develop and test the right usage policies for their business and users.
To help keep your mobile costs optimised, our VMM service includes a monthly healthcheck review of your monthly billing by our analyst team – following which we’ll discuss any findings and recommendations on a scheduled monthly call. The healthcheck covers a range of key metrics and review areas including:
- Exceptional Usage & Policy Issues – we’ll flag any excess usage or activity that’s creating out of bundle charges and recommend practical actions to help control costs
- Inactive Services and Connections – we’ll track the use of all connections and recommend tariff changes, barring or cancellation actions where unnecessary costs are incurred
- Data Management – we’ll track data usage based on agreed policies and monitor wider trends to ensure that your tariffs remain optimised to your level of data usage
Optimising and managing tariffs can require both short term tactical tariff changes as well as a more strategic approach to dealing with longer term changes in usage trends. As part of the VMM support service, we’ll help to identify any areas where tariffs and allowances can be optimised to reduce mobile costs or remove excess data charges.
With an eye on the long term, we also monitor usage trends and provide guidance on where usage is likely to head over the coming years as business requirements change. With this profile and insight, we’ll help you to review requirements with vendors or support mid-term benchmarking and where appropriate look at changes to your overall tariffs and allowances to keep long term budgets under control.
For customers that require a greater level of control over their mobile data usage for both UK and Roaming usage on smartphones and tablets, the VMM service offers a range of monitoring and alerting services. These services can either be based on mobile network alerts and reporting services, or for real time management, we can deploy and manage independent solutions on employees’ devices via an on-device application and a central management portal.
Our real time services and portal continuously monitor data usage across company devices and compares that data usage against pre-agreed allowances and policies. When these thresholds are breached, the services can send tailored SMS notifications to the user (and optionally to managers) or invoke pre-agreed restrictions to control usage.
