The Go-Ahead Group, a leading public transport operator, required support to streamline the rollout of several hundred tablets to their engineering teams as part of their EAMS Project. With an already busy day to day schedule and limited spare internal resources, the challenge lay in efficiently preparing and deploying these devices across the country, while minimising disruption to daily operations.

The Solution

Utelize Mobile helped to streamline the preparation and deployment of tablets for engineers, significantly reducing the workload for Go-Ahead’s IT Operations team. To address the specific challenges, we provided the Go- Ahead Group with a comprehensive device preparation service which included sourcing devices and accessories and then pre-configuring more than 700 Samsung Tab Active 4 Pros. Prior to dispatch all tablets were charged, had SIMs inserted and screen protectors applied at our dedicated device preparation depot. A full inventory of device, SIM card and the allocated engineer was recorded in our Inview platform.
