The Challenge​

Glasgow Prestwick Airport partnered with Utelize Mobile to manage a critical migration of their mobile network from O2 to O2 on the Daisy network.

The airport faced a number of challenges with their existing mobile services provider including poor customer service and delays to cancelling numerous unnecessary connections causing cost inefficiencies.

Prior to the migration, significant delays from their current supplier in obtaining PAC codes created increased pressure on the Utelize Team to deliver a seamless, fault-free migration exactly when it was needed.

The Solution

The Utelize Mobile team provided a comprehensive managed service to address the existing challenges which included:
Validation of Connections: Prior to migration, the Utelize team ensured all current connections were necessary & removed anything that was surplus.
PAC Code Management: Despite delays from the existing supplier, Utelize efficiently obtained and booked PAC codes onto the O2 network.
Migration Management: The Utelize team handled the entire migration process, providing continuous updates to the customer.
SMS Campaign: Utelize organised an SMS campaign to keep Glasgow Prestwick Airport staff informed of the status of the network-to-network migration.
Rapid Addition of New Connections: Utelize Mobile responded swiftly to the customer’s need for additional connections outside of the original project scope.
